Urban Forestry is the art, science and technology of managing trees, forests and natural systems in and around urban areas for the health and well-being of communities. Representatives of Covington’s Urban Forestry Board will guide a tour through the Historic Licking Riverside Area to explain the many elements of how Urban Forestry can enhance the livability of a community: planting the right tree in the right place, proper tree planting and management, and planning for the establishment and retention of efficient and appropriate tree planting spaces.
