Birding the Shaker Trace Wetlands

Join the naturalists at the Shaker Trace Wetland Viewing Shelter anytime between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. We will have binoculars and viewing scopes available to see what is passing through the wetlands on their journey South.

Wild Lies Hike

As we hike the trail we will stop to learn tidbits of natural history, but sometimes fact is weirder than fiction! Can you guess if the naturalist is telling the truth or a wild lie? Join us at the Timberlakes Program Shelter.

Baughman Road Parking Lot
Directions: Take I-74 west from Cincinnati to Dry Fork Road (Ohio exit #3). Go north for 2.3 miles and turn right on New Haven Road. In the small town of New Haven, turn left on Oxford Road, then very shortly afterward left on Baughman Road. Go 1/2 mile and park in the small gravel parking lot on your right.

Prairie and Wetland Wildflower Walk

Goldenrod and asters will shimmer with butterflies and dragonflies, as we join botanist Denis Conover for a hike at the Shaker Trace Wetlands of Miami Whitewater Forest. Wear long pants and shoes, as we may explore off-trail for frogs and flowers.
