Discover what critters lay below the surface of the Little Miami River. We will be learning about Macroinvertebrates- critters without backbones, which are large enough to be seen with the unaided eye. Using a net placed downstream, we will catch critters living on the rocks and in the sediments on the bottom of the river. Caught critters will be sorted, identified, and evaluated to determine the water quality of the river. Be prepared to get into the river and get feet wet. Shoes and/or boots are required to avoid injury. After we are done, the critters will be returned to the river.
