Birds and hiking bright and early! Meet at the Visitors Center at the Fernald Preserve, the area’s newest and most unique nature preserve. In the morning beginning at 8 a.m. we will hike the site’s new trails in hopes of adding to our bird list. After the hike at 10 a.m., stay around for aquatic adventures in our many wetlands.

Search the many wetland areas at the Fernald Preserve for animals and plants of all sorts. Use dip nets to discover what lies under the water. Investigate in, under, and around the fascinating world of the wet. We will supply all of the necessary equipment.
